The official Women’s Six Nations Team of the Championship has been revealed, with the Red Roses dominating the line-up.

John Mitchell’s side, who are also the reigning world champions, secured their fifth successive Grand Slam last Sunday, beating France 43-28 in a title decider in Bordeaux, and reap the rewards of that with seven picks in the official Team of the Championship.

Runners-up, France, are also well represented with four in the team, while Ireland and Italy also see a selection of their players included. There is no Scottish or Welsh representation in the side, though.

The Team of the Championship was selected by a public vote.

For France, Anaïs Grando is named on the wing and Pauline Bourdon Sansus gets the nod at scrum-half, while lock Madoussou Fall Raclot and prop Ambre Mwayembe also feature in the pack.

Ireland namesakes Aoife Dalton and Wafer also make the side at inside centre and number eight, respectively, while Erin King features in the back-row on the blindside flank, with Italy’s Francesca Sgorbini getting the nod at openside.

The aforementioned Jones, Sgorbini, Wafer and Bourdon Sansus have also been nominated for Six Nations Player of the Championship, with the quartet receiving the most public votes. The voting for this award is also open until Thursday, May 28, and can be done here.
