WATCH: Springboks hopeful’s HILARIOUS try celebration that will never be replicated!
Stormers number eight Hacjivah Dayimani celebrating a try against Northampton Saints in a friendly match.
Stormers number eight and Springboks hopeful Hacjivah Dayimani is becoming one of the game’s great characters and showed why during a friendly match.
The South African side took on the Northampton Saints on Saturday as the English outfit look to get in some valuable game time ahead of the Premiership restarting.
Dayimani once again starred as the visitors secured a comfortable 45-29 triumph at Franklin’s Gardens, scoring a fine try in the second period.
Breakaway try
After the Saints had dropped the ball close to the Stormers line, the United Rugby Championship team broke away.
The ball was kicked ahead for Dayimani to chase, and the back-rower then displayed his blistering speed to race away and score.
So far, so normal, but Dayimani decided to spice it up by jumping over the advertising hoardings, ripping off his shirt and revealing a Northampton top.
The home side’s supporters, who were initially disappointed after seeing the number eight cross the whitewash, then cheered and applauded Dayimani for the celebration.

It was a lovely moment during a match that was played in a great spirit, although the Saints fans will hope that he was revealing his next club.
Any side would love to have a player of his quality in their squad, with the 26-year-old continuing to shine for the Stormers, which has put him in Springboks contention.
Sullen commentator
The joy of Dayimani and the fans, both at the game and online, was not reciprocated by the Northampton commentator, who firstly stated – wrongly – that the number eight was ‘miles in front’ of the kicker.
He was also not impressed by the back-rower’s celebration. Rather bemused, he said: “He’s revealed a Saints shirt, which is one of the strangest celebrations I’ve seen.
“He’s taken his Stormers shirt off to reveal what looks like the Saints shirt from a couple of years ago, so interesting celebration there.”
It was taken in great spirit by everyone else, however, as the free-spirited Dayimani once again put plenty of smiles on faces.
