WATCH: Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s MIND-BLOWING football skills before scoring a try

Stormers centre Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu scored an outstanding try for his side in their United Rugby Championship (URC) victory over the Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu hit the ground running in the first round of the 2023/24 URC campaign as he caught the eye with brilliant football skills, which helped him over the try-line.

The Lions had made the brighter start and raced into an early lead courtesy of a converted try from PJ Botha after just five minutes, and they looked to increase their lead when they launched an attack close to the halfway line.

However, Mannie Rass failed to gather a wayward pass from Richard Kriel and Feinberg-Mngomezulu pounced by kicking the loose ball ahead.

He still had plenty of work to do but showed that he would not be out of place on a football field by bringing the oval ball under control with his thighs and right foot before gathering it and diving over for a well-taken try.

Clayton Blommetjies slotted the conversion, which drew the men from the Cape level, and they continued to dominate the rest of the half and were rewarded with further five-pointers from Herschel Jantjies and Joseph Dweba.

Blommetjies added three conversions and a penalty, and Feinberg-Mngomezulu also succeeded with a three-pointer off the kicking tee, which meant the Stormers held a 27-7 lead at half-time.

The Stormers continued to dominate during the early stages of the second half as Feinberg-Mngomezulu crossed for another try and a penalty, but the Lions struck back with five-pointers from Henco van Wyk and Ruan Venter, which were both converted by Jaden Hendrikse.

That meant the Stormers were holding a 35-19 lead midway through the second half, but the Lions finished stronger, and two more converted tries from Morne van der Berg and Francke Horn saw them narrow the gap to two points, but the Stormers held on for the win.
