WATCH: Manie Libbok scores a sensational solo try against Dragons
Stormers star Manie Libbok scored a stunning try in a man-of-the-match display against the Dragons in Gqeberha fresh off being capped by the Springboks.
Libbok received the ball off the back of a solid scrum on the halfway line and noticed the Dragons’ defensive line pushing hard to cover the outside space only to straighten the line, beating two defenders with clean footwork.
The Springbok accelerated through the space before making light work of the covering defender to run through and score a sensational try that may well be a contender for try of the season.

The moment of solo brilliance was certainly a highlight of Libbok’s performance, but the rest of his game came together very nicely for the champions.
Complete performance
The fly-half was confident and commanding in everything he did, from kicking out of hand, off the tee, attacking space and controlling the territory. It was well and truly a complete performance from a star who seems to have the world at his feet at the moment. Libbok finished with 70 running metres, five carries, three defenders beaten, two clean breaks, 21 passes, one offload, four kicks and a total of 17 points.
Libbok steered the Stormers‘ ship for 60-odd minutes before being substituted for Kade Wolhuter, and it is no coincidence that after the departure of the fan favourite, the Cape Town men left the door open for a late Dragons surge.
Nevertheless, the Stormers claimed a 34-26 bonus-point win in their 14th consecutive triumph at home – an outrageous run.
Coach John Dobson’s side sits third on the United Rugby Championship table but have a game in hand on the second-placed Bulls, who have the same number of points.
However, the Stormers’ attention shifts to their debut in the Champions Cup this weekend against Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne in what will be an exciting weekend for South African rugby.
