WATCH: Craig Casey leads celebrations as Munster players dance with hotel staff

There was a wholesome moment following Munster’s United Rugby Championship triumph as some of their players were filmed dancing with the hotel staff.

The Irish province ended their 12-year trophy drought by securing a stunning 19-14 victory over the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.

They had to do it the hard way, winning three away games on the trot after defeating Glasgow Warriors, arch-rivals Leinster and then the defending champions.

However, that made it extra special for the Munstermen as they claimed their first domestic title since 2011.

Partied hard

The players and coaches certainly partied hard afterwards and that continued as they prepared to leave Cape Town and head back to Ireland.

They were given a wonderful send-off by the hotel staff, who chanted, sung and danced, and the players got into the spirit by joining in.

Scrum-half Craig Casey can be seen leading the celebrations, dancing with one of the staff members before other players join in, including Mike Haley, who showed off his fancy footwork.

Another video then surfaced from the official United Rugby Championship account which was from a different angle with Peter O’Mahony very much in the thick of it.

It has been an up and down campaign for Munster but they hit form at just the right time to secure their Champions Cup place and finish in fifth position in the table.

Although that meant an away game in the quarter-finals, the Irish province had the momentum as they overcame Glasgow 14-5.

That set up a clash with their great rivals Leinster but, after the Dubliners fielded a weakened team, the visitors edged to a 16-15 success as they reached the showpiece event.

Once again, they weren’t fancied due to the Stormers being the defending champions and enjoying home advantage, but Munster rose to the occasion and stunned the South African outfit.

Graham Rowntree’s men well and truly deserve to celebrate and no doubt they will continue over the next week.
