WATCH: Bristol Bears stun Leicester Tigers with TWO full-length tries in Premiership win
Gabriel Ibitoye and Kalaveti Ravouvou.
Bristol Bears have been by far the best attacking side in the Premiership this season, and that was perfectly reflected in their emphatic 54-24 win over Leicester Tigers at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
The victory for Pat Lam’s side – their 10th consecutive away win in the league – puts them top of the table until at least later this evening, but it also cemented their status as one of, if not the, title favourites this season.
Bristol Bears hit Leicester with TWO full-length tries
Bristol’s counter-attack was on full display in the win against Leicester, and that was proved with two delicious full-length pitch tries.
The first came in the opening 40 minutes of the game, as Rich Lane completed a delicious strike play to dot down.

A clever break from centre Kalaveti Ravouvou got them out of their own five-metre line, and he was later able to connect with England hopeful Gabriel Ibitoye, who in turn marched them into Leicester territory. After this, the former Harlequins man threw a delicious basketball-esque offload to the on-chasing fullback, who then raced home for the score.

Not to be outdone, though, the Bears were back at it again in the second-half as Ravouvou nabbed a spectacular solo try. Again breaking from within his own 22 metre, the Fijian back raced through a gap in the Leicester line to almost teleport up the pitch and scamper through to score arguably the try of the season so far.

These were just two of Bristol’s eight tries in their successful afternoon, as Bristol hit Leicester with a record points tally of 54 points – the most the East Midlands side have conceded in the Premiership.
