WATCH: Beauden Barrett brilliance sees Blues score 41 unanswered points in win over Rebels
Beauden Barrett showed his class yet again by pulling the strings in the Blues 54-17 win over Rebels in Melbourne that included 41 unanswered points in the second period.
One of the moments of the game saw the All Blacks centurion showcase his outstanding vision as he chipped the ball over the Rebels’ defensive line, collected the kick himself and put the ball back on his foot in one swift motion.
The grubber through rolled into the arms of a grateful Mark Telea, leaving the wing with a simple run-in for the try.

The Rebels opened the scoring with a ninth-minute Reece Hodge penalty, but the Blues responded with a Sam Darry try in the 12th minute. Barrett failed to add the extras.

The visitors had possession in the Rebels area for some time but could not make it count, and the hosts ended up making them pay with a stunning Andrew Kellaway try started on their five-metre line with Hodge making no mistake from the tee.
Barrett kicked a penalty in the 29th minute just before Ricky Riccitelli crossed over from a maul. However, it was the Melbourne men who had the final say in the first period with a converted Bradley Wilkin try on the stroke of half-time.
That would be all the points the Rebels scored as the Blues came out for the second half a different beast, starting with two tries in the first 10 minutes through Finlay Christie and Telea. The duo would only have to wait for the hour mark until they both grabbed their second tries, with Barrett only managing one kick.
Front-row Ofa Tu’ungafasi would get in on the act in the 66th minute whilst Zarn Sullivan and skipper Dalton Papali’i scored in the dying minutes with only one conversion completed.
The stunning second-half performance got the Blues back to winning ways following a bonus-point win.
