WATCH: A rugby and football crossover as Siya Kolisi meets Jurgen Klopp
Springbok captain Siya Kolisi tries his hand at football after meeting up with Liverpool football manager Jurgen Klopp.
Kolisi took time out from his busy Autumn Nations Series campaign to give another sport a go, with Klopp his mentor.
The Bok skipper is a fan of the Premier League giants and visited Anfield following South Africa’s World Cup triumph in 2019. That was where he first met up with the Reds manager and the two became friends.
No chance of switching sports
Klopp guides the flanker through some basics of the game, but it is fair to say he shouldn’t give up the day job.
Both are great characters so there are plenty of funny moments with some gentle ribbing throughout, especially from the Liverpool manager towards Kolisi’s footballing skills.

The pair start things off with free-kicks as Klopp offers Kolisi a few tips when striking a football, before they eventually decide to remove the wall and goalkeeper.
The next video sees them go through corners, where Kolisi’s physicality comes in handy for Klopp at the back post, before the Bok looks get on the scoresheet.
Great finish from Kolisi
Finally, the pair finish with some penalties as again Klopp goes into detail with the Springbok back-row before Kolisi wraps things up with a beautiful strike.
Understandably there were lots of laughs between the football and rugby stars as their friendship blossoms. But maybe both are set to stick to their own sports.
