Having been linked with the Scarlets earlier this week, Wasps have now entered the frame as a possible destination for Leigh Halfpenny.
The Toulon star – currently sidelined with a knee ligament injury – is yet to decide whether to enact the third-year option on his contract with the European champions.
Halfpenny has been linked with a return to Wales on a National Dual Contract with either the Scarlets or Cardiff Blues.
But speculation of a huge offer from Wasps to acquire the British and Irish Lion's services means that Halfpenny could end up in the Premiership, alongside fellow Welsh internationals Jamie Roberts, George North and Luke Charteris.
Halfpenny first emerged on the scene at the Blues under current Wasps director of rugby Dai Young, who wouldn't reveal if any talks had begun between the two parties when asked on Tuesday.
"Leigh Halfpenny is an obvious one. I'm just looking forward to seeing who we get linked with next week," Young told the BBC.
"I know Leigh really well. I was at Cardiff when he came through the system. We all know he is a quality player.
"We will make no bones about it – this is recruitment season and we are looking at getting the best for us.
"It is a great situation to be in, getting linked with these players. But there's no point me saying much more than we are at a point where we are looking to strengthen our squad."
