Walker ruled out for the season

Ospreys and Wales back Eli Walker has undergone surgery on his back, ruling him out of the remainder of the season.

The winger has been sidelined since November when he sustained a foot injury in the Anglo-Welsh Cup win against Cardiff Blues, before a back injury delayed his return to action.

Medical Performance Manager, Chris Towers, confirmed: “The back injury Eli sustained at the end of December has failed to settle and, as a result, the decision has been made to proceed, and manage him, surgically.

“As a result, he will take no further part this season.”
