Video of the Week: Lifting ‘Bill’

Date published: September 17 2015

We have come to that time of the week when Planet Rugby brings you an offering of a stand-out video we think you will like the look of. Enjoy the show.

We're just one day away from the start of the World Cup, and 20 teams are playing to lift the William Webb Ellis trophy.

Seven captains have already done so, and Richie McCaw is hoping to become the first man to lift it twice.

Check out this cool video of each captain lifting the trophy, from David Kirk back in 1987, to Aussie duo Nick Farr-Jones and John Eales, Springbok pair Francois Pienaar and John Smit and of course England's Martin Johnson.

Will McCaw manage to do it again, or will someone else be picking up the trophy on October 31st?
