USA get the better of Canada

USA made it three wins running against their near neighbours Canada as they claimed a 41-23 victory at Twin Elm Rugby Park, Ottawa on Saturday.

5,168 supporters turned out for the game but it was to see a seventh straight loss for their team, with Canada facing Glasgow next up in seven days.

USA will be buoyant heading into the Rugby World Cup with Greg Peterson, Andrew Durutalo, Andrew Suniula, Mike Petri and Cameron Dolan crossing.

Canada's response came via Taylor Paris, Nick Blevins and Aaron Carpenter but they were well beaten by the Eagles, who will leave Ottawa very happy.

USA are drawn alongside South Africa, Scotland, Samoa and Japan in Pool B while Canada face France, Ireland, Italy and Romania at the World Cup.
