Ulster hopeful over McCloskey

Ulster are optimistic that centre Stuart McCloskey will be available on their return to PRO12 action in two weeks time.

The new Ireland international damaged his AC joint in Ulster's win over Connacht last week and at present is a doubt for the province's next match against Zebre on April 16.

Les Kiss, the Ulster director of rugby, hopes to have McCloskey available, and also suggested that Tommy Bowe and Louis Ludik are close to a return.

"We've got to look and see where Stuart McCloskey is with that shoulder; hopefully he's fine," Kiss told the Belfast Telegraph.

"Tommy is working hard and he's so close but it's something we want to be smart with.

"It's a frustrating process but he's working extremely hard to get back, as is Louis Ludik."
