Sale Sharks flanker Dan Braid has reportedly been ruled out for twelve weeks with a shoulder injury he suffered against Wasps on January 2.

BBC Sport believe the Sharks' captain requires surgery on the problem, which will keep him out of action for a significant period of time.

Braid, 34, has been superb for Sale since he joined from the Blues in New Zealand in 2013 and is in his final playing season at the club.
