Tim Swinson ruled out for six months
Glasgow Warriors will start their 2018/19 PRO14 campaign without the services of second-row Tim Swinson, who has been sidelined with a leg injury.
Swinson has undergone surgery on the injury sustained during the first half of Scotland’s 44-15 victory over Argentina in Resistencia last Saturday.
He returned home to undergo the operation and is expected to be out of action for around six months.
The 31-year-old was also ruled out for four months last season due to a hand injury sustained in Scotland’s Test against Samoa.
That injury also required surgery and kept him on the sidelines during the early stages of Scotland’s 2018 Six Nations campaign.
