Black Friday is the biggest sales event of the year but is it actually useful for rugby fans?
Usually Black Friday is associated with crowds of people grabbing TVs from superstores or discounts on iPhones on Amazon, but the shopping event has grown to the point several rugby brands have launched a host of sales.
From training gear in the popular Gymshark sale, to discounted shirts from Adidas, Castore and Canterbury, there is plenty for rugby fans in the sales.
We have found the best deals on shirts, merchandise, boots and balls across every rugby brand holding a Black Friday sale.
Adidas Black Friday sale
Adidas produce the kits for the New Zealand and France national rugby sides, as well as rugby boots worn by some of the game’s top players. They include French scrum-half Antoine Dupont, All Blacks fly-half Beauden Barratt, and Scotland’s Finn Russell.
The All Blacks home shirt, a nice retro-styled kit with a white polo collar, is now £51 and there are similar savings on jackets and hoodies featuring the white fern of New Zealand.
For players there are some handy boot deals if you are a UK player. As the winter months arrive soft ground boots with longer studs could be a good idea to add some grip during inclement weather.
You can get the RS15 soft ground Adidas boots for just £48, down from £80. The Kakari Elite are also reduced, down from £110 to £66.
The pick of the soft ground rugby boots deals is the Adizero range, which drops from £150 to just over £100 in the Black Friday sale.
Canterbury Black Friday sale
Canterbury provides the kits for Ireland, including the stunning pre-match limited edition worn in Chicago, as well as this year’s British and Irish Lions shirts.
The Lions shirts are reduced in the sale and so are the Heritage versions of the kits. The best Canterbury deals are on training gear. The Stadium pants at just £37 are a bargain because they are some of the highest quality on the market. Hard wearing and comfortable, they are usually priced at around £46.
There are other Black Friday training gear sales to keep an eye on. Gymshark has also launched its own Black Friday discounts with up to 40% off training tops, joggers and gym bags.
They include a restock of the popular Onyx gymwear that regularly sells out on the Gymshark site.
Castore Black Friday sale
England kit maker Castore has launched a Black Friday sale cutting the price of home shirts to just £50.
Red Rose t-shirts, polos and team jackets are also reduced in the Castore sale but the jackets are still priced at around £110.
You can also get discounts on Harlequins, Bath Rugby and Saracens shirts because Castore is the main kit supplier of those teams. A club shirt costs a little over £60 in the Castore Black Friday sale.
