George Kruis ruled out, Ted Hill joins England group

England head coach Eddie Jones has selected 30 players to begin training on Tuesday ahead of their November Test against Japan at Twickenham.

The group includes the uncapped Ted Hill, Nick Schonert, Elliott Stooke and Joe Cokanasiga, with Worcester‘s Hill included as an apprentice.

Saracens second-row George Kruis misses out on the squad and will be absent for the remainder of England’s Test series due to a calf injury.

England opened their Quilter Internationals with a 12-11 victory over South Africa, before suffering a 16-15 loss to New Zealand on Saturday.

Saturday’s match against Japan will be the first time the two sides have met since 1987, with England ending their November internationals versus Australia on 24 November.
