Super Rugby Pacific returns for the 2026 season with 11 clubs competing for the title.

The competition is celebrating 30 years with a derby-packed round one of action starting in Dunedin where the Highlanders welcome Crusaders to Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The Blues and Chiefs will clash in Auckland, while the all-Australian ties between Queensland Reds and NSW Waratahs, and Western Force against ACT Brumbies will also be played on the opening weekend.

Hurricanes on bye week

Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika will face off in Lautoka to complete the weekend’s fixtures, while Hurricanes receive a bye for the first round.

Matches will be shown on Stan Sport in Australia and Sky in New Zealand.

The matches will be streamed exclusively on Sky Sports in the UK and you can sign up to watch the action on the Sky Sports website. In the USA the matches will be shown on ESPN and can access that via a FuboTV subscription.

The tournament will take place over the next 19 weeks ending in play-offs and a final in June. Teams will play 14 matches with seven home and seven away fixtures in the regular season. Teams will play a three-week finals series before the grand final.

There will also be a Super Round featuring three days of fixtures in Christchurch at the new One NZ Stadium.

Title holders Crusaders will be looking to add to their victory last year. The Christchurch side have won three of the four titles since the formation of Super Rugby Pacific, with the Blues winning once in 2024.
