Stuart Hogg lands new gig with TNT Sports following his retirement.

Former Scotland and British & Irish Lions full-back Stuart Hogg has landed a new job following his retirement announcement ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Hogg has been unveiled as one of the new faces of rugby on the rebranded TNT Sport, formerly BT Sport.

New faces of TNT Sport

Hogg made the decision to call time on his career, with immediate effect, ahead of the 2023 World Cup in France, citing the strain professional rugby has had on his body.

The 100 Test cap international won the European double with Exeter Chiefs in 2020 and joins a legend of the women’s game as the new pundits on TNT Sport.

Emily Scarratt, a Rugby World Cup 2014 winner and runner-up in 2022 with England, also joins Hogg at the rebranded channel.

The former Team GB captain at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games retired after winning yet another Six Nations trophy with England earlier this year.

Scarratt played over 100 Test matches for England, winning eight Six Nations titles during her career and was named Women’s World Player of the Year in 2019 and the Women’s Six Nations Player of the Championship in 2020.

There is another new face in former all-Ireland triple jump champion Orla Chennaoui.

She joins TNT Sports’ rugby coverage and will present a selection of live Gallagher Premiership matches in addition to her role as Eurosport’s lead cycling presenter.

Returning faces

Meanwhile, Craig Doyle will continue to host live match coverage while Ugo Monye will take on an extended role that will see him add presenting roles alongside punditry.

TNT’s commentary will still include the familiar voices of Alastair Eykyn and Nick Mullins.

Former England men’s internationals Martin Bayfield, Lawrence Dallaglio, Austin Healey and Ben Kay will also return next season, as will Lions greats Brian O’Driscoll and Sam Warburton.

TNT Sports will cover the Premiership, Challenge Cup and the Premiership Rugby Cup next season.

They will also broadcast every match of the 2023/24 Champions Cup season.
