Stade Français have bolstered their second row options with the signing of Tomas Vallejos according to reports.

The former Scarlets and Harlequins lock has joined on a short-term contract as a World Cup joker with Stade set to be missing Alexandre Flanquart and Pascal Papé.

Rugbytime are reporting that Vallejos, who has six Argentina caps to his name, will head to the Top 14 champions for two months as they look to get the defence of their title off to a strong start.

Vallejos spent last season playing in Italy for Benetton Treviso and will now join up with compatriot Gonzalo Quesada, who coaches Stade.
