South Africa will welcome Australia for the opening fixture of the Rugby Championship and the first of a double header between the heavyweights.
The Wallabies could prove to be tough opposition for the world champions as they come off the back of a gruelling 2-1 series defeat to the British and Irish Lions.
How to watch Springboks v Wallabies
Fans in South Africa will be able to watch the game on SuperSport Rugby and Grandstand and if you are outside the country you can access the stream via a VPN here.
There will be a live stream available in the US from FloSports Rugby. You can watch via the FloSports website or the app here.
Viewers in the UK will be able to watch every Rugby Championship game on Sky Sports. You can watch via a Sky Sports subscription here and access every match across all seven weeks of the Rugby Championship.
The fixture will also be shown on Stan Sports in Australia and on Sky Sports NZ in New Zealand.
The match kicks off at Ellis Park, or now known as Emirates Airline Park, in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Saturday 16 August at 4.10pm UK time (5.10pm local time).
The season opener is the first of a double-header between the Springboks and the Wallabies with the second taking place a week later in Cape Town.
Double world champions South Africa will be the clear favourites against the sixth-ranked Australia. They have not lost to Australia on home soil since 2011 and have won seven of their last eight games against the Wallabies in South Africa, with one draw.
The sides will play twice before South Africa travel to New Zealand for games three and four, followed by home and away fixtures against Argentina in September and early October. Australia will host Argentina in a double header before taking on New Zealand in their final two fixtures.
