Planet Sport’s Sportword has made its way to rugby union where readers are challenged to guess words related to the sport.

It is a daily quiz so be sure to return to the page every day where you complete the word and climb the leaderboard, getting those all-important bragging rights over your friends.

How to play

Users have six attempts to guess the word of the day that are always related to rugby union and will always be five letters in length. These words could be a player’s name or surname, a position on the field, a team or just about anything involving the beautiful game we love.

Have a go throwing your first guess in and once you hit enter the colours of the title will change according to their position in the word. A green tile means the letter is in the correct position; an orange tile means the letter is elsewhere in the word; a grey tile means that the letter is not in the word at all.

If you are struggling and need some assistance you can find help using the hint button which will reveal a tile. However, it must be noted that it will only be available to logged-in users.

There is also the give up button but that is like kicking the ball out when you have a chance to win after the 80th minute. It is an option that we won’t hold against you.
