Leicester are set to be without fly-half Owen Williams for up to eight weeks after they confirmed he suffered a double fracture of his jaw.

Williams was forced from the field against Northampton in Tigers' thrilling 30-27 win in the Premiership and replaced by Freddie Burns.

According to BBC Sport, the 23-year-old had surgery immediately after the game, with Richard Cockerill admitting "it's not great for him".

In another blow to Leicester, flanker Brendan O'Connor has been ruled out for approximately six weeks because of a hamstring injury.
