Scotland v France: Late change for Scots as memorable day for two players awaits
Scotland have been forced into a late change ahead of their Six Nations game against France at Murrayfield on Saturday.
Winger Kyle Steyn, who was named in the starting line-up, has withdrawn from the matchday squad with his wife in labour and due to give birth.
Harry Paterson has replaced Steyn in the starting XV and it will be a memorable day for the 22-year-old too as he will make his Test debut.
Paterson starts at full-back for Gregor Townsend’s side, with Kyle Rowe shifting to fill Steyn’s void on the right wing.
The rest of the Scotland starting line-up remains unchanged from the team announced earlier this week.

Duhan van der Merwe completes the back three as he starts on the left wing alongside Rowe and Paterson. Huw Jones and Sione Tuipulotu are the starting centres.
Finn Russell co-captains the side from fly-half, with Ben White starting at scrum-half.
Jack Dempsey starts at number eight, with co-captain Rory Darge returning in place of Jamie Ritchie and Matt Fagerson completing the loose trio.
Grant Gilchrist and Scott Cummings are the starting locks, with Pierre Schoeman, George Turner and Zander Fagerson making up the front-row.
Ewan Ashman, Alec Hepburn, Elliot Millar-Mills, Sam Skinner and Andy Christie are the forward replacements on the bench.
George Horne, Ben Healy and Cameron Redpath are the replacement backline players.
