Following an impressive 35-7 victory over Wales in their Six Nations Test at Murrayfield on Saturday, here are the player ratings for Scotland.

15 Stuart Hogg: Went off early with a head injury. N/A

14 Kyle Steyn: Quiet in the first half but came to life in the second as Scotland finally found their rhythm, finishing with two tries to his name and a number of other good moments with ball in hand. 8

13 Huw Jones: One big break and some other nice touches to help open the space for the back three. 7

12 Sione Tuipulotu: Is becoming a well-rounded international centre. Not just a bosh merchant, with his passing game also making him a threat. 7

11 Duhan van der Merwe: See Steyn. Didn’t have many opportunities before the break but was prominent after the interval. Almost impossible for Wales to stop. 9

10 Finn Russell: Let’s be honest, he was decidedly mediocre in the first half, but in the second period he was superb. Some magical moments, while his game control was so much better. 9

9 Ben White: Really like what he brings to this Scotland side. Again, not the best first half but took the right options after the break. 7

Another fine effort from the pack

8 Matt Fagerson: A ubiquitous presence once again. Carried hard in the tight and continued to impress defensively, making another 20 tackles. 8

7 Luke Crosbie: Still yet to see the carrying game which has seen him stand out for Edinburgh, but he did his job in other areas. 6

6 Jamie Ritchie: Another superb performance from the captain. Won two turnovers and was an absolute menace in many other breakdowns. 8

5 Grant Gilchrist: Does a lot of the unseen work and, like he did against England, was a disruptive force at the lineout. 8

4 Richie Gray: Did his work in the tight but not the standout effort of last week. 6

3 Zander Fagerson: A solid first game back from the tighthead, but the scrum was not really a factor in the game. 6

2 George Turner: A late developer but he has become a fine all-round hooker. Consistent set-piece work while he is dynamic in the loose. 8

1 Pierre Schoeman: A big performance from the loosehead. Got through plenty of carrying and also did well in defence. 8

Replacements: Blair Kinghorn was superb after coming on early for Hogg, while hooker Fraser Brown also had some good moments. 8
