Sale Sharks have announced that Gordon McKie has ceased to be chairman of the Aviva Premiership club, six months after taking the job.
McKie was appointed in January having previously held positions as CEO of the Scottish Rugby Union and the Hong Kong Football Association.
“Gordon has made a significant and invaluable contribution to Sale Sharks in a relatively short period of time, and we thank him for his efforts. We appreciate the time and commitment that he has given alongside his other business interests,” said Sale co-owner Ian Blackhurst.
“The club has concluded a successful season and we are well positioned to look forward to next season and beyond with confidence.”
