Another busy day in the rugby union game as we look ahead to this Saturday and Sunday’s match-ups in Round Two of the European Champions Cup.

What’s on the site

With the Champions Cup continuing on Saturday and Sunday, we have previewed all the matches from both days. The action gets underway on Saturday with Castres at home against Exeter Chiefs and the last matches are on Sunday when Toulouse and Cardiff Blues host Leinster and Glasgow Warriors respectively.

We also have Saturday’s Challenge Cup line-ups and we have highlights from the Mitre 10 Cup semi-final between Canterbury and Tasman.

What’s in the news

There’s news of David Pocock being crowned as Australia’s best player after he won the John Eales Medal for the second time.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Christian Wade is set to leave his Premiership club, Wasps, with immediate effect to pursue a lucrative career in the NFL.

Northampton Saints have announced that England and British and Irish Lions utility forward Courtney Lawes has signed a new contract that will see him continue to play at Franklin’s Gardens for at least two more seasons.

Once again BT Sport will be showing all 10 Champions Cup matches this weekend, kicking off on Friday at Welford Road.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports are televising the Mitre 10 Cup and Currie Cup semis as those competitions hit the knockout stage.
