Ruddock injury blow hits Leinster

Leinster and Ireland have suffered a setback after back-rower Rhys Ruddock was ruled out for up to six weeks after suffering a broken arm.

The 24-year-old sustained the injury against Harlequins in Dublin last week, with the best case scenario seeing him back in four weeks.

Ruddock started for Ireland in their November wins over South Africa and Australia but is now a doubt to be fully fit for the Six Nations.

Leinster, who are fifth in the Guinness PRO12, continue to be without the services of fellow Ireland flank Sean O’Brien due to injury.
