Ronaldson worry for Connacht

Date published: November 29 2016

Connacht are sweating over the fitness of centre Craig Ronaldson after he suffered a thigh injury against Cardiff Blues last weekend.

The Irish province confirmed the injury in a medical update with Ronaldson now awaiting scan results to determine the extent of the problem.

One player who is definitely set for time out is centre Eoin Griffin, who had surgery on a chest muscle that will sideline him until March 2017.

On a positive note Tom McCartney, Denis Buckley, Nepia Fox Matamua and John Cooney came through last week’s game with no ill effects.

Wing Matt Healy has been integrated fully into team training this week following his return from a hand injury sustained against Edinburgh.

Finally, Ireland prop Finlay Bealham, second-row Ultan Dillane, scrum-half Kieran Marmion and wing Niyi Adeolokun are on a week’s break following their exploits for their country over the past month.
