Robbie Henshaw ruled out of Six Nations

Ireland have suffered a second injury blow of this year’s Six Nations following the news that Robbie Henshaw will miss the rest of the competition.

After Josh van der Flier was ruled out last week, it has been confirmed that Joe Schmidt will also have to do without the centre.

Henshaw came off in Saturday’s victory over Italy with a shoulder injury and has since undergone a procedure to correct the issue.

Meanwhile, there were concerns over prop Tadhg Furlong, who was substituted in the third minute with a hamstring issue, but the tighthead is expected to be fit to face Wales.
