The Autumn Nations Series will begin next month when South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Argentina visit the Northern Hemisphere for a series of games against the four home nations and the likes of Japan and Fiji.

Starting with England versus Australia at Twickenham on November 1, the internationals will also see Ireland and New Zealand clash at Soldier Field in Chicago in a one-off game on US soil.

In celebration of the beginning of the Autumn Nations Series in 2025 we have ranked each of the home nations based on their home shirts. With new launches from Canterbury, Macron, and Castore, there are some stunners in the line-up for this year.

1. Ireland

Price: £82

Where to buy: Canterbury official site

Canterbury is a top rugby name when it comes to kit design and this year they have already produced the spectacular British & Irish Lions kits. You can get those at a big discount now.

The Ireland shirt is a classic. It features a stylish collar and matching white trim on the sleeves, a design inspired by the topography of Ireland itself, plus the classic Ireland badge.

Andrew Porter, Ireland and British & Irish Lions prop, says: “Canterbury really made a lot of noise last year with their hugely popular jerseys, especially the 150th edition. Seeing another jersey this year that celebrates the island of Ireland is fantastic. As always with Canterbury, there’s never any doubt the jersey performs at the highest level, so for it to also look this good is a massive bonus. It’s that rare mix of style and function done perfectly.”

There is also a nice training range that will be worn by the Irish players in the Autumn Nations Series this year.

2. Scotland

Price: £85

Where to buy: The Macron website

Scotland are celebrating 100 years of Murrayfield with a Centenary match against New Zealand in the Autumn Nations Series and the celebratory kit is a stunner.

The retro-inspired shirt has a white polo collar, the dark blue of Scotland and a lovely bit of gold embroidery to celebrate the iconic venue. Sponsor Arnold Clark is quite subdued to improve the classic feel of the shirt.

The Macron design also features the original Thistle badge used 100 years ago. Quite simply, this is one of the best Scotland kits in years.

3. Wales

Price: £82

Where to buy: The Macron website

You will either love or hate the new Wales rugby shirt. Featuring four quarters with two a darker shade of red, the kit is an homage to Brethyn Cartref, or traditional Welsh blankets.

“This kit doesn’t just represent Wales on the field, it embodies Cymru in the heart. Each time the players walk out of the tunnel, the Brethyn Cartref motif stands as a symbol of all four corners of our nation uniting in one voice, our hiraeth for home and times past, and the generations of passion driving Welsh rugby onwards. Wear it with pride,” the Welsh Rugby Union said.

The red shorts instead of traditional white have split the fan base but this is a nice bit of design flair for a nation that often produces more minimalist kits.

4. England

Price: £85

Where to buy: The Castore website

Castore is a much-maligned kit maker but the 2025/26 range is actually a very nice addition to the England range.

The white shirt is clean with red highlights down both sides and a new collar design. It features the Red Rose, the Castore logo and the blue O2 sponsor. While it is perhaps not the most ambitious design it is clean, stylish and quintessentially England Rugby.

The collar is actually an unusual shape for a reason. Castore says the design can withstand 1,200 Newtons of force, while the velvet flocking on the back of the shirt can be used by players to dry their hands. That is a nice touch and one that makes it one of the more advanced designs in the line-up.
