The Gallagher Premiership trophy
Premiership Rugby have confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the play-off semi-finals, with Bath hosting the first on Friday, June 6.
Johann van Graan’s side have already cemented their home tie, and currently sit 15 points clear at the top of the table heading into the final two rounds of the season.
Premiership play-off dates confirmed
As a result, Bath head into the play-offs as the top seeds and will face the fourth-placed side on Friday, June 6 at 7:45 pm at the Rec.
The second and third-ranked teams will then play each other on Saturday, June 7 at 3:30 pm at the home ground of the highest-placed finisher.
All the play-off matches, as well as the final, will be aired live on TNT Sports.
The race for the final three play-off spots could not be tighter heading into the final round of the regular season. Leicester Tigers lead the rest of the chasing pack on 56 points, but only five points separate them from sixth-placed Saracens. Third-placed Sale Sharks, fourth-placed Bristol Bears and fifth-placed Gloucester are also within touching distance of the top four.
After this weekend’s Champions and Challenge Cup finals, these remaining play-off places will be decided on the final day of the regular Premiership season.
Leicester face bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, Bristol host Harlequins fresh from their Danny Care farewell last weekend, Sale venture to Sandy Park to take on the Exeter Chiefs, Gloucester take on Northampton Saints and Saracens welcome table-topping Bath to the StoneX Stadium.
Out of this group, Leicester, Sale and Bristol have their futures in their hands, with them currently occupying the other spots in the top four, but Saracens and Gloucester will both need to rely on results elsewhere going their way and then also secure a win.
