Northampton Saints will face Exeter Chiefs in the 2025/26 PREM Rugby final, following two blockbuster play-off ties this weekend.
Phil Dowson’s side will head to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham in search of their second title in three seasons, while Rob Baxter’s men return to the showpiece event for the first time since 2021. A win for either side would also make them three-time champions, with both clubs currently sat on two titles apiece.

Northampton ended the regular season at the top of the pile, booking their home play-off tie as early as round 16, and qualified for the final with a 41-31 win over Leicester Tigers.
Exeter had to do it the tough way, only securing their play-off place in the final round of the regular season with a win over fifth-placed Saracens, but they have now booked their spot in the final with a dramatic 27-26 come back win to dethrone defending champions Bath at The Rec.
Both finalists enjoyed strong league campaigns, with Northampton winning 14 of their 18 fixtures while Exeter won 11, and they faced each other in two exciting games as well.

Back in round one, the two sides played out an exciting 33-33 draw at Franklin’s Gardens, in a game where Northampton took an initial 33-7 lead into half-time. Their most recent meeting at Sandy Park was also looking like heading for a draw, but Fin Smith struck in the final play of the game to secure a 35-28 victory.
