Predictions: November Test weekend

Date published: November 10 2017

We’re set for a huge weekend of internationals and have sat down to offer our predictions for the games taking place in Europe.

It is tough to pick a stand-out match on Saturday but if we had to it would be Ireland against South Africa at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Elsewhere the clash between Wales and Australia is always a thrilling affair while New Zealand head to Paris to face an injury-hit France.

England meanwhile are at home to a struggling Argentina and will be keen to compound the Pumas’ woes with a big performance at HQ.

Let’s get into our predictions…

Italy vs Fiji

Preview: There should be plenty of thrilling action when Italy get their end-of-year Test campaign underway against a confident Fiji side.
Prediction: Home ground advantage will be crucial at Stadio Angelo Massimino in what could be another close affair. Italy to win by three.

Scotland vs Samoa

Preview: Scotland start their tough end-of-year series with a clash with Samoa as they look to build momentum before tougher games arrive.
Prediction: We can’t see the Samoans causing a shock at Murrayfield as Gregor Townsend’s charges are too strong. Scotland to win by 18.

England vs Argentina

Preview: England begin the next stage of their journey towards Rugby World Cup 2019 with a home fixture they should win against Argentina.
Prediction: The home side will have too much gas in the tank for Argentina to even come close of an upset in our eyes. England by 20 points.

Wales vs Australia

Preview: Wales take on an in-form Australia outfit in their opening November international fixture at the Principality Stadium on Saturday.
Prediction: The ever-improving Wallabies will be solid on defence and Wales’ new combinations may be exposed. Australia to win this by 10.

Ireland vs South Africa

Preview: The Springboks will be looking to continue their 2017 resurgence when they tackle Ireland in their opening November international.
Prediction: It should be a tight one in Dublin but we just fancy South Africa to come to the fore late in the match and take this by five points.

France vs New Zealand

Preview: World champions New Zealand play the first match of their end-of-year tour when they face off with France at the Stade de France.
Prediction: France should put up another brave fight in their own backyard but New Zealand have too much quality and should win this by 10.
