Connacht centre Pita Ahki has decided to join Toulouse at the end of the current PRO14 season having spent just five months in Galway.
Ahki has made seven appearances since arriving from the Hurricanes last October after being recruited by Connacht head coach Kieran Keane, whom he worked with at Waikato.
Ahki previously had spells in Super Rugby with the Blues and Hurricanes. The 25-year-old will join All Black veteran Jerome Kaino in moving to Toulouse.
"Connacht can confirm that Pita Ahki’s short term contract with the province will come to an end at the end of this season. We would like to thank Pita for his contribution to Connacht during his time here and wish him and his family well for the future," read a statement on the club's official Twitter account.
