Montpellier have suffered an injury setback after scrum-half Tomás O'Leary was ruled out for eight weeks with a lateral ligament problem.

The 33-year-old, who recently arrived at the club as a medical joker, suffered the injury while playing against Racing 92 over the weekend.

Montpellier lost that match 21-9 and news of O'Leary's injury is compounded by centre Vincent Martin being sidelined for three weeks.

Next up for Jake White's charges is a home match against Lyon, with Montpellier currently sitting in third position in the Top 14 standings.
