Bordeaux-Bègles have found their successor to Vincent Etcheto with Emile Ntamack named backs coach for next season.
The former France assistant will join from Toulouse, where he has been working with the youth teams since leaving les Bleus in 2011.
He had been one of the candidates for the sporting director job at Toulouse, but Fabien Pelous was preferred in the end, and Ntamack decided the time was right to move on.
Bordeaux have been on the look-out for a replacement for Etcheto, who was let go at the end of the season for reasons that remain unclear.
President Laurent Marti was delighted to be able to bring in the former French international however, and is optimistic Ntamack will be able to maintain Bordeaux's reputation for playing exciting rugby.
"Emile Ntamack's name came up about ten days ago," said Marti.
"He'd been waiting for his opportunity at Toulouse, but it didn't happen. It gave us the chance to bring him in. He's someone who I really like, a genuine competitor, a hard worker and very keen on attacking rugby."
