Nonu to face the Bulls

Date published: February 18 2015

A largely unchanged side has been named to face the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday as the Hurricanes look to make it two from two in 2015.

The Canes welcome the return of Ma’a Nonu to their starting line-up in what will be his 145th Super Rugby appearance, and first for the Hurricanes since 2011.

Full-back Jason Woodward is the only non-All Black in an impressive backline, with Nonu partnering a familiar face in Conrad Smith.

The match will also be a significant occasion for Manawatu flanker Callum Gibbins, who is set to get his first start for the Hurricanes.

Head-to-head, this will be the 19th time the Hurricanes and the Bulls have met on the Super Rugby field, both winning nine matches each.
