Murrayfield switch for Edinburgh

Edinburgh have announced their Challenge Cup clash with Krasny Yar has been moved to BT Murrayfield due to a frozen pitch at Myreside.

Pitch protection measures have continued to be in place at Myreside, but the freezing temperatures have delayed any sufficient improvement to the playing surface. After consulting the forecast for the remainder of the week, along with tournament organisers EPCR and the opposition, it was decided that the game should be moved to ensure it goes ahead as planned on Friday with kick-off at 7.35pm.

“Undersoil heating has been in operation at BT Murrayfield following last weekend’s 50-20 win over London Irish in Round 3, as part of the club’s contingency plan,” said Edinburgh in a statement.

“All existing match tickets are valid and tickets continue to be available for purchase online up until kick-off.”
