The Chiefs have been dealt more injuries following their pre-season win over the Waratahs on Friday.

Dave Rennie's charges faced the New South Wales side in Rotorua, and although they bagged a scrappy 17-12 win, the injury list grew as they already have a few men down.

Number eight Maama Vaipulu went off after 25 minutes with an injured right shoulder, and openside flanker Mitchell Karpik picked up a knee injury three minutes into the second half.

The Waikato side face the Blues next Friday in Pukekohe in their last warm-up match before they start their campaign against the Crusaders in Christchurch on February 27.
