Australia full-back Jesse Mogg has signed a new contract with Top 14 contenders Montpellier to remain at the club until 2019.

Mogg, who has three caps for Australia, headed to France at the start of this season after several years with the Brumbies.

The 26-year-old will now be playing his rugby at the Altrad Stadium for the next three years.

"I would first like to thank President Altrad and the Montpellier club for having the confidence in me to extend my contract," said Mogg.

"The club is building and I'm looking forward to great moments with the team in the next years.

"Montpellier is also one of the most beautiful cities in France and I am very fortunate to live here. I am eager to learn and familiarize myself more with the French culture."
