Michalak out for five weeks

Former France fly-half Frédéric Michalak will be out for the next five weeks as he recovers from a torn hamstring he suffered on Saturday.

Michalak called time on his international career following the 62-13 loss to the All Blacks in the World Cup quarter-finals, during which he lasted only 11 minutes before suffering the injury.

And L'Equipe are now reporting that he will be out of action for five weeks, meaning that he'll miss the start of the Champions Cup and only return at the end of November for his club Toulon.

Michalak is expected to be absent for three Top 14 games, against Oyonnax, Montpellier and Grenoble, as well as the opening two fixtures of the Champions Cup where Toulon take on Bath and Wasps.
