New Zealand fly-half Marty Banks will leave Benetton after one season in the PRO14, having agreed a deal with Japanese club NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes.

Banks has scored 83 points in 14 games since joining the Treviso-based outfit.

Having played with the Highlanders in Super Rugby and Tasman Makos in the Mitre 10 Cup, the 28-year-old quickly developed a reputation as a dependable goal-kicker and lively playmaker.

Banks will be remembered among many things for having scored the winning points in the 2015 Super Rugby Final for the Highlanders against his old team the Hurricanes.
