Lions turn to big guns for semi-final

Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has recalled his first-choice players to his starting line-up for Saturday's  Currie Cup semi-final against the Free State Cheetahs in Johannesburg.

Captain Jaco Kriel will again lead the team with the leadership group consisting of Warren Whiteley, Ross Cronjé and Howard Mnisi all back on duty.  

Loosehead prop Jacques van Rooyen and flanker Steph de Wit rstarted from the bench last weekend while centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg, hooker Robbie Coetzee, fly-half Jaco van der Walt, winger Sampie Mastriet, Fabian Booysen, who can cover both lock and loose-forward, and the impact specialist Kwagga Smith are on the bench.
