Saracens and England second row George Kruis has been ruled out of the 2017 Six Nations through injury.

Kruis will undergo surgery on Tuesday, February 7 for a knee ligament injury sustained in training last week.

It is expected that the 26-year-old, who has 20 international caps, will require a 10-12 week rehabilitation period.

Meanwhile, 32 players have assembled at Pennyhill Park on Sunday to train for Saturday’s Six Nations game against Wales at the Principality Stadium.

Prop Mako Vunipola (Saracens) will also join-up with England this week and will continue his rehabilitation from injury.
