Japan lose Lemeki to injury

Japan have suffered a setback with the news that winger Lomano Lemeki has been ruled out of their remaining November Tests due to injury.

Kyodo News reports that Lemeki has been withdrawn from the Brave Blossoms squad with an unspecified injury which means he will miss this Saturday’s Test against Wales in Cardiff and Japan’s next match against Fiji in Vannes on 26 November.

Lemeki scored two tries in Japan’s 28-22 victory over Georgia in Tbilisi last weekend. He was born in Auckland but moved to Japan in 2009 and made his Test debut in the Brave Blossoms’ defeat to Argentina in Tokyo on November 5.
