Ireland turn to Earls against France

Keith Earls will start at outside centre for Ireland's game against France in Cardiff after Jared Payne failed a fitness test.

Cian Healy and Devin Toner also come into the starting XV as Ireland look to top Pool D in the Rugby World Cup.

Paul O'Connell captain's the side and is joined in the second row by Toner.

The back row is made up of Jamie Heaslip at number eight, Sean O'Brien at openside and Peter O'Mahony at blindside. Healy starts at loosehead and is joined in the front row by Mike Ross and Rory Best.  

Conor Murray and Johnny Sexton are paired at half-back with Robbie Henshaw and Earls named in midfield.  

The back three sees Rob Kearney return at full-back with Tommy Bowe and Dave Kearney on the wings.
