The draw for the Investec Champions Cup round-of-16 has been confirmed following the completion of the pool stages on Sunday.

Toulouse finished as the top seed with a perfect 20 points after defeating Bath 31-19 and will therefore take on fellow countrymen Racing 92 in the last-16.

Just behind Les Rouge et Noir in the standings were Leinster, who also claimed four victories and have been rewarded with a home match against Leicester Tigers.

Pool stage repeats

There is another Anglo-Irish clash when Northampton Saints face Munster in a repeat of Saturday’s encounter, which the Englishmen won 26-23.

However, this time it will take place at the home of the Saints after they won all four matches in their group.

That game is one of five pool stage repeats, headlined by the aforementioned Leinster v Leicester match.

The next two sees Bordeaux-Begles host Saracens – the English side were humiliated by the French outfit in round three – and the Stormers face La Rochelle.

The defending champions will certainly have to do it the hard way after losing their opening two matches of the competition, but they found form at just the right time to keep their hopes alive.

La Rochelle’s 37-24 victory over Sale Sharks on Sunday was hugely impressive and their South African opponents in the last-16 will have certainly taken notice of that.

Finally, the Bulls clash with Lyon after the Top 14 team edged to a 29-28 triumph in Round Two, which ultimately denied Jake White’s men top spot in Pool A.

Elsewhere, there is an all-Premiership tie between Exeter Chiefs and Bath while another English team, Harlequins, also get a home game in the knockout stages.

Quins finished as fifth seeds and will duly face Scottish outfit Glasgow Warriors, whose win over Toulon moved them into the round-of-16.

The ties will take place on the weekend of the 5/6/7 April with the winners of those games heading into the quarter-finals a week later.
