Fiji wing Waisea Nayacalevu has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby World Cup due to a knee injury.

The Stade Français speedster sustained the injury during his side's 28-13 Pool A loss against Australia at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old, who also played in the Pacific Islanders' 35-11 defeat to England in the tournament opener at Twickenham on 18 September, will return to his Top 14 club for treatment and rehabilitation.

Montpellier wing Timoci Nagusa will join the Fiji squad as Nayacalevu's replacement.

Fiji coach John McKee said scrum-half Nikola Matawalu, who injured his lower back against Australia, is expected to be available for training and selection for their next match against Wales at Millennium Stadium on Thursday.
