Huw Jones blow for Glasgow

Glasgow Warriors centre Huw Jones has been ruled out of Saturday’s 1872 Cup decider against Edinburgh and the home PRO14 semi-final next month with an eye socket injury.

Jones sustained the injury in Saturday's 36-15 PRO14 defeat to Ulster and Warriors coach Dave Rennie confirmed the injury would sideline the Scotland international for three weeks.

“Huw’s no good,” Rennie told the Scotsman. “He’s got a couple of slight fractures around the eye socket. It’s a two to three-week recovery we think so there’s still a chance he could play again this season. But not this weekend.”
